"THE RESILIENT POWER OF PURPOSE"
As you use the principles and thoughts that you find in this book and on my tape series, you will begin to discover the real you and your real purpose. You will be able to take the seemingly unattainable dream that exists in your outer self and bring it inside. Your dream will then become a purpose. When you internalize your dream, it is no longer something you simply wish would happen. You no longer have just a dream-fantasy, you have a dream-purpose. You become unstoppable, with the strength of your purpose propelling you to a higher level.
You must assimilate your dreams. Food sitting on a plate is simply food, but when you eat it, it becomes part of you. Principles and dreams are the same way. When they exist outside, they are simply things for which to hope. It is amazing to think of all the people who dream about winning the lottery, but who never even buy a ticket! A dream on the outside is only known to the dreamer, but as you begin to flow from who you really are, then that dream is transformed into a purpose. The real you is indestructible, and everything you need is accessible to you. Abundant life exists within the real you. If you strictly operate from your outer self, then you are in the midst of the struggle. But if you are flowing from who you really are, you are attracting what you need and desire in life. You are also being who you were meant to be. What a great difference there is between struggling and flowing.
Why do you attract good when you live from within? Because the power of your being is on the inside, and all the negative influences are on the outside. The outer self is supposed to be a vehicle. However, the outer self becomes destructive when left to itself. A car without a driver, if it is rolling down the road, will surely crash into something. We are the same way when we are not flowing from who we really are. We receive all kinds of influence, both good and bad, from family, friends, media, and education. How we were reared has a great influence on our outer selves. The list of other influences is almost endless. If we are not flowing from who we really are, then we have created an imposter. The outer self becomes an imposter who talks and acts, but is independent and disconnected from who we really are. It is no surprise that we feel insecure when living only from the outside. We never really feel that we are loved, and we refuse to believe that we can be loved unconditionally.
Why is it that some people make their dreams a reality, achieving financial freedom and experiencing the love of family and friends with more peace and less stress than ever before? Though this scenario sounds like a dream, you can make it a reality. How does that transformation happen? It happens when you live according to your purpose.
Discover Your True Identity
Many problems arise when people believe their identity consists of the outer self - their physical body, fluctuating emotions, limited mind and will power. The outer self is highly impressionable and estimates its self worth based solely on success, failures, profession, place of origin, education, family, outer influences, relationships, and experiences. When you start to believe that these factors make up your identity, then you can never break free of the lower level and move to a higher level. You must know that your present level has nothing to do with your true identity. When you detach yourself from this false identity, then the guilt and insecurity which held you captive loses its grip. You step back, perhaps for the first time, and think, Wait a minute. This isn't who I am. All of this stuff is just part of the outer package. No matter how amazing the outside of a birthday present looks, the contents are more important than the wraping paper and bows.
Each of us was born for a great purpose. You need to know that you were not born to struggle. You were not born to live on a lower level, but to move continuously to higher levels. Your outer dream becomes an inner purpose. The real you will naturally say, "I know I am wired to be prosperous. I am made in the image and likeness of God. I am the offspring of the Creator. Therefore, I was born to create, succeed, and prosper. I was born to move to higher levels. I was born to turn my dreams into reality."
